Swamp Watching This Morning

Watched dawn settle in on this NE swamp this morning. It was actually cool with few biting bugs. That all changed when the warm sun settled in. I sat for several hours. Probably a record for me! Not much wildlife activity so I moved on.
Poking along the edge of another swamp I caught a glimpse of orange in the distance. A nest of three Tree Swallows entertained me for a while. This is the first time I recall seeing an external nest.Typically Tree Swallows nest in holes in trees.

NW Gate Hike Looking For Loons

When I first spotted this doe she was feeding unaware of my presence.
After a few minutes of feeding she decided to move on. I made a bleating sound to see if I could catch her attention. The title page picture shows what happened. A few pics and I moved on as she walked away'
The plan yesterday morning was to watch the shoreline in hopes a getting a few loon pics. I was lucky when I arrived two loons were working north along the shoreline,
Not sure what this loon is signaling after spotting me on the shoreline !
The pair continued swimming north breaking the silence with there enchanting call.
