A Different Twist

Twenty eight when I left the house this morning. Figured I walk the shoreline . The wind was strong and SHARP ! Waterfowl was abundant so I figured I would give birds in flight a try. I had a number of pics that needed to be deleted . However, a few shots came out okay.
Mergansers are extremely timid and fly with minimal disruption. This was my first attempt.

Mallards hold tight a little longer then mergansers. This pic isn't to bad for a amateur.
Also got a quick shot of this nuthatcher

Calmn Water This Morning

Headed out early this morning. A little chilly sitting for an hour or so at waters edge. I did see several mature eagles soaring off in the distance. Walking the shoreline I located numerous turkey feathers in a small area. It would suggest that something had a meal.

Rounding the point presented a quick pic of this couple.

The reservoir was calm with numerous ducks and geese making wakes as they distanced themselves from me. The onset of spring should now bring photo opportunities.
