SE Gate Hike
The morning started off a bit cool at forty degrees It didn't take long before it warmed up. I hike Gate 50 off the backside of Goodnough Dike. I was just about at the gate when two geese broke the calm water and flew past me. I made an attempt at a couple of BIF pics.
I ended up wandering down to a small swamp. Nothing unusual . Did get a quick pic of a beaver looking at the sky.

Mosquito's Have Arrived
Sixty two and drizzly when I left the house. My hike today would take me to a northeast gate. I did see a black squirrel on my ride to Quabbin. As soon as I got of the truck mosquito's swarmed , A quick start and walking fast keep them at bay. Typically drizzly mornings support increased wildlife activity.
Not so on this Sunday morning hike.
Did spot this single doe. She looked like it was time to find a nursery.
Walking out to the power lines a retail hawk announced my presence . Before leaving the area a turkey vulture had to check out what was going on.
